What To Do If You Have Been Billed Twice By Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois?

Many of our customers have been billed twice by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois (their old 2013 policy and their new 2014 policy).  Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois is aware of this issue. For these members, the previous 2013 policies were not automatically canceled in the system, as they should have been at the time of the new policy selection; therefore members were billed/drafted for both the old and new policies in January. Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois will be implementing a process to terminate the 2013 policy and will provide refunds to the affected members in the near future.

Please note this affects only those members who selected and then chose to remain in a new 2014 policy.
