Joshua B. Herz

President

Josh Herz joined Associated as an account producer in 2003 and quickly earned a reputation for delivering exceptional client service. Promoted to Senior Vice President in 2009, he joined the management team and boards of Associated and Auto & Home (now named “Associated Private Client”). In 2012, Josh was elevated to President of Associated and Associated Private Client, with the specialty of driving growth for the firm and continuing to deliver success for its teammates and clients.

Since 2012, Associated has grown to the largest privately held insurance brokerage firm in Chicago and a top 70 firm in the U.S.

Under Josh’s leadership, the business has continued to perform and transform to meet its clients’ needs today and into the future. Associated has invested in people, technology and resources to make it one of the premier risk advisory firms in the nation.

Serving on the board of directors of the Jewish United Fund, Josh is currently serving as the 2025 JUF Annual Campaign Chairman. Josh is a co-founder of Project Halo and serves on its executive committee. Previously, Josh served on the executive committee of JUF’s board of directors. He was a member of JFNA’s National Young Leadership Cabinets, served as the Young Leadership Company Vice President for JUF and co-founded For the Fallen, a charity supporting families of military personnel killed or wounded in Iraq or Afghanistan.

Josh is a University of Arizona graduate and lives in Highland Park with his wife, Jennifer, and their three daughters.
