About the Job

A Group Benefits Account Manager is a professional responsible for assisting Producer(s) and Account Executive(s) with maintaining, servicing and production of new and renewal Group Benefit accounts. This role involves working closely with clients to understand their specific needs and requirements regarding Group Benefits.

Duties and Responsibilities, include

  • Responsible for all aspects of renewal business including; marketing, spread sheeting, plan changes, administrative issues, open enrollment preparation and meetings
  • Responsible for all aspects of new client prospects including; enrollment package, application processing, follow-ups and materials to client and meetings to discuss new plans
  • Prepare and work on special Group Benefit projects.
  • Attend seminars to become knowledgeable about current Group Benefit markets
  • Attend training sessions to become knowledgeable in other aspects of the Group Benefit business such as COBRA, Wellness programs, HSA’s and Self-Funded accounts
  • Act as a liaison between clients and insurance carriers to resolve any client service issues
  • Open Enrollment meetings
  • Ensure group Affordable Care Act (ACA) compliance

The Role- What you’ll do as a Commercial Lines (P&C) Customer Service Representative: 

  •  Preparing insurance documents; auto ID cards, Certificates of Insurance, Evidence of Insurance.
  •  Fulfilling MVR requests and ordering E-Mods 
  •  Preparing renewal applications
  •  Preparing applications
  •  Emailing signed forms to carrier/underwriter
  •  Monitoring receipt of policies
  •  Prepare policies for delivery
  •  Obtaining loss experience on all lines of coverage on all accounts 
  •  Initiating and following-up on policy changes with various carriers and check when complete 
  •  Reviewing and assisting with resolving audit disputes 
  •  Setting up new clients in client management system 
  •  Monitoring receipt of renewal policies 
  •  Preparing client presentations 
  •  Sending all documentation to scan, and maintaining files in client management system 
  •  Invoicing, including: 
  •  Updating billing screens
  •  Obtaining finance agreement quotes
  •  Setting up new applications and updating applications in client management system 
  •  Agent of Record Letters
  •  Supports AM & AE – Provides updates once policy is bound
  •  Obtaining online quotes for Flood Policies

A Group Benefits Account Executive is a professional tasked with ensuring compliance, fostering client relationships, engaging in cross-departmental collaboration, and carrying out core duties associated with Group Benefits.
 

Duties and Responsibilities, include

Compliance Management

· Ensure adherence to all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards related to employee Group Benefits.

· Stay updated on changes in legislation and provide guidance to clients and internal teams.

· Conduct regular audits to confirm compliance and identify areas for improvement.

Client Relations

· Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, building and maintaining strong relationships.

· Understand clients' business needs and objectives and provide effective solutions and recommendations accordingly.

· Conduct regular meetings, presentations, and reviews to ensure client satisfaction and retention.

Collaboration and Cross Selling

· Work collaboratively with the Producer(s) to support new business development and identify upselling opportunities.

· Collaborate with the Property and Casualty Team to determine cross-selling opportunities and provide a comprehensive benefits package to clients.

· Coordinate efforts with the Producers and Property and Casualty team to deliver a seamless and integrated client experience.

Core Responsibilities 

· Oversee the implementation and administration of group employee benefit programs, including health, dental, vision, ancillary lines, retirement plans, wellness plans, etc.

· Collaborate with internal teams to develop benefit strategies that align with clients' goals and budgets.

· Prepare and present benefit plan options, proposals, and renewal materials to clients. 

· Coordinate open enrollment activities, including employee education, enrollment assistance, and plan communication.

· Handle employee inquiries regarding benefits, claims, eligibility, and other related matters.

· Maintain accurate client records, documentation, and databases in the agency management system, Applied Systems EPIC 

· Work on various benefit administration platforms for employee benefit enrollment
